Revised guidelines for determining immediate jeopardy

Appendix Q, Core Guidelines for Determining Immediate Jeopardy, has been revised. Immediate Jeopardy (IJ) represents a situation in which entity noncompliance has placed the health and safety of recipients in its care at risk for serious injury, serious harm, serious impairment or death, according to CMS.

Training for surveyors and non-surveyors on the revised Appendix Q is available here.
